About Barry Bohn

Barry Bohn

I practiced ophthalmology in Lafayette, Louisiana, from June 1973 until June 2017. My interest in photography started when I took a world tour after graduating from Notre Dame. My Brownie Hawkeye could not record much. As my practice matured and new partners became busy, I found time to explore digital photography. The photo courses at Gumbo U. at the University of Louisiana gave me a good understanding of the art and technical details. Thanks to Richard Wallis, Danny Izzo, Joe Pons, Philip Gould, John, and Barbara Gerlach. I joined the Lafayette art association and the Lafayette Photographic Society, entered some shows, and was encouraged. Thanks to those members. My interests are eclectic. This art stretches the parts of my brain I did...
