This egret was resting atop a tree in Girard park in Lafayette. Usually they visit town occasionally and reside at night and mass at Lake Martin in the spring. They wander through residential neighborhoods at times.
About Barry Bohn
I practiced ophthalmology in Lafayette, Louisiana, from June 1973 until June 2017. My interest in photography started when I took a world tour after graduating from Notre Dame. My Brownie Hawkeye could not record much. As my practice matured and new partners became busy, I found time to explore digital photography. The photo courses at Gumbo U. at the University of Louisiana gave me a good understanding of the art and technical details. Thanks to Richard Wallis, Danny Izzo, Joe Pons, Philip Gould, John, and Barbara Gerlach. I joined the Lafayette art association and the Lafayette Photographic Society, entered some shows, and was encouraged. Thanks to those members. My interests are eclectic.
